BYME

.

Whispering Wings

Whispering wings, relentless race,

Shattered solace, star-kissed face,

The mountain holds the mystery light.

The mission drinking souls of night.

Where the season issues its plunder,

Civilization blooded, blown asunder,

Amidst the nations natural hunger,

Humanity’s weary war-monger.

Dream’s cloud the darkening shroud,

The well of life stands stoic proud,

Sinuously sinking into sodden ground,

Amidst the cry of the hungry hound.

Hound calling a timeless name.

Aspiration that inspiration became.

Where is tomorrow’s ethereal earth?

Where is merriment mischief mirth?

Frozen on the edge of time,

Sealed in the secrets sublime,

Which whisper caused the sky to fall?

Rebellion, revolution to befall?

Only the moment’s constant drip,

Only nectars soothing sip,

Can lift the heart of man,

In the world’s spinning span.
